Tilly Rose footwear is created using tradition show manufacturing methods where many of the processes are still preformed by hand.

Our footwear is made from the highest grade leathers, suedes and materials many of which have specialized exotic finishes. 

Markings and Irregularities are to be considered as typical on our antique finished leather.   Skins are to be treated as delicate and should be cared for to ensure longevity.

Tilly Rose recommends you waterproof all leather, suede and fabric shoes before wear.  Take care not to immerse shoes in water.  

Leather shoes, should only be naturally air-dried.  Never use heat to dry a wet shoe.   Shoes can be cleaned using professional products purchased from a shoe repairer.  Shampoos and cleaners are specific to each type of leather, so ensure you discuss this with the repairer to ensure the correct method.  Shoes should not be placed in direct sunlight.  Do not store shoes in plastic.  Tilly rose provides a cloth bag to use for storing your shoes.

Suede shoes must always be waterproofed before wear.  This will prolong the life of the shoe.  Do not immerse in water.  Suede shampoos and brushes are available from a reputable repairer to clean any scuffs or marks.

Snakeskin shoes should be treated with care.  Snakeskin is an extremely delicate skin and the scales may lift over time.  It is recommended that snakeskin shoes are not worn in the wet.  Snakeskin needs to be conditioned to maintain its appearance. 

Pony hair shoes are delicate.  The hair will rub off over time.  It is recommended that you do not wear these shoes driving or in wet weather.  Take care not to rub your shoes together as this will accelerate the loss of hair from the shoe.

Heel Tips are replaceable and should be checked regularly for wear. They should only be replaced by a reputable repairer.

Leather soles are porous and will wear quickly when worn in wet conditions.  Wet soles should never be dried by artificial heat, and should only be dried naturally.

High Heels should be worn with extra care on rough ground and should not be worn to drive in.

The jewellery utilized for our shoes is completely handmade.  The diamantes cannot be guaranteed in wear, and lost diamantes will not be replaced.  We recommend that you take care of the shoes given the delicacy of the materials used.
